This site is operated by M&I Transport of SC, LLC [confirm: legal entity name against the South Carolina Secretary of State record], doing business as M&I Junk Removal & Hauling (“M&I”, “we”, “us”), 112 Duraleigh Rd, Anderson, SC 29621, phone (864) 359-7319, email [confirm: business email address to publish].
The short version
We collect what we need to quote, schedule and do a junk removal job, and nothing else. We do not sell personal information, we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site, and the only way anything gets to a third party is through the companies that help us run the business (phone, text, forms, payments, hosting).
1. What we collect and where it comes from
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, phone number, email address | You, through the estimate form, a call or a text |
| Job details | What needs removing, roughly how much, where it sits, the property address, photos you send us | You |
| Communications | Call logs, text messages, emails, voicemails | Our phone and messaging providers |
| Payment records | Amount, date, payment method, the last four digits of a card. We never see or store full card numbers. | Our payment processor [confirm: name the processor, for example Square or a bank] |
| Website technical data | IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request | Our web host’s standard server logs |
| Public reviews | Reviews you choose to post on Google or Yelp | Those platforms, under their own terms |
We do not collect precise device location, government ID numbers, health information or bank account details, and we do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking on this site.
2. Why we use it
- To answer your request and give you an estimate.
- To schedule the job, confirm the time, and let you know when the truck is on its way.
- To do the work, invoice it and keep the records a business has to keep for tax, insurance and any later dispute.
- To follow up on an estimate you asked for. We do not send marketing campaigns.
- To protect against fraud and to comply with the law.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Text messages
When you give us your mobile number and tick the consent box on the form, or text us first, you agree that we may text you about your request: quotes, scheduling, arrival times and follow-up on the job. Message frequency varies with the job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Opting out of texts does not stop us calling about a booked job unless you ask us not to.
4. Who we share it with
- Service providers acting for us: web hosting, the form and customer-record system that receives estimate requests [confirm: name the CRM or form processor once wired], phone and text messaging, email, payment processing and bookkeeping. They may only use your information to do that work for us.
- Disposal and recycling facilities: they receive weights and material types, never your personal information.
- Insurers and professional advisers if a claim or dispute arises.
- Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person or the business.
- A buyer if the business is ever sold, on the same terms as this policy.
5. Cookies and embedded content
This site sets no cookies of its own. The Google map on the contact and home pages is embedded from Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address when it loads, under Google’s privacy policy. The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
6. How long we keep it
Estimate requests that do not become jobs are deleted after [confirm: retention period, for example 24 months]. Job, invoice and payment records are kept for [confirm: period, for example seven years] because tax and insurance rules require it. Text and call records are kept as long as our providers keep them, typically [confirm: period].
7. Your choices
- Text STOP to stop texts. Tell us on a call or by email to stop calls.
- Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do so unless we need the record for a job in progress, an invoice, tax or a legal claim.
- South Carolina has no comprehensive consumer privacy statute as of the date above. We honor these requests anyway. Residents of states that do have such laws can make the same requests and we will answer within 45 days.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards: access to customer records is limited to the owner and staff who need it, and payment card data is handled by the processor, not by us. If a security breach affects your personal identifying information, we will notify you as required by South Carolina law (S.C. Code § 39-1-90).
9. Children
This site is for adults arranging a service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other sites
We link to Google, Yelp, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest and the Better Business Bureau. Their sites are governed by their own policies.
11. Changes and contact
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with a new date. Questions or requests: call (864) 359-7319, write to 112 Duraleigh Rd, Anderson, SC 29621, or email [confirm: business email].
